Are the British people really that dumb?

Tony Blair when being interviewed by Fern Britton for a BBC TV program due to be screened tomorrow Sunday 13th December 2009 said that his religious faith played no direct part in his decision to take Britain to war against Iraq. I believe in respecting those in authority where ever possible, but how is it possible to respect a man who says one minute that his religious faith is more important to him than his political ambitions and the next that he can make a decision which has the power to affect the lives – and potentially the deaths of millions of people and yet he can separate such decisions from the very basis upon which he states his life is built upon?

Jesus Christ only tore into one group of people as far as I can see from studying the bible for the last 27 years and that wasn’t prostitutes, tax collectors (read traffic wardens in today’s speak), the normal people who society loves to hate, no just the religious hypocrites. As this week Barack Obama receives his Nobel Peace Prize (and that’s a story for another time), perhaps Tony Blair should be  awarded the title “Hypocrite of the Millennium”  I will certainly dial an 09 number and pay £1.50 for the right to cast my vote on the subject.

Make your mind up Mr Blair, do you want to serve God or money. According to Jesus you can’t have it both ways.

Matthew 6:24

24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
