Is ‘Right’ right?

Is ‘Right’ right?

During the last few months the British media have been preoccupied with either attacking or switching affiliations with political parties from both sides of the political divide.

That most successful gutter press newspaper The Sun”, has made it clear that it’s switching its allegiance from New Labour to the Tories. This has provoked outrage from various high profile politicians such as Peter Mandelson which of course serves as fuel to keep the slagging match going.

However one can’t really accuse The Sun of moving from the Left to the Right of British politics because unlike 30 years ago, The Conservatives are no longer a right wing party.

This lack of choice between the main political rivals may account for the recent successes of the BNP in Britain led by Nick Griffin, and Party for Freedom in the Netherlands under the leadership of Geert Wilders.

That supposed bastion of even handedness the BBC showed their true colours recently when they ‘invited’ Nick Griffin to appear on their premier political program Question Time so that a preselected audience and panel ably assisted by the presenter David Dimbelby could verbally lynch him. following the program there was much analysis and debate as to whether the BBC’s treatment of him would in fact benefit the BNP’ political ambitions.

Geert wilders on the other hand is an entirely different animal to Nick Griffin. Griffin seems to lack charm, good looks, even intellect, whereas Wilders is handsome, tall (he is Dutch), personable and thoroughly captivating in the way in which he delivers his message.

But what if anything do these two men have in common?. Guts that is what. Unlike the majority of politicians (especially those in government), who are spineless, self seeking, elitists intent on protecting their own career paths through compromise, lies, deceit and by emasculating the people who they pledged to serve by creating laws which forbid freedom of expression, freedom of speech and introducing ‘terror’ laws which empower the Police to detain innocent members of the public on any pretence they wish to come up with.

Griffin and Wilders are both hated men. Hated I said not despised like most politicians. Osama Bin Laden has ordered the murder of Wilders and I would be very surprised if a Fatwah had not been declared on Griffin. Why? Because both men have the courage to speak out on issues which the majority of public figures will avoid at all costs.

You need to work out for yourself whether the Islamisation of Europe is a real threat, but at least with the likes of Messrs Griffin and Wilders you will have opportunity to hear the less palatable version of the case.

Neville Chamberlain came back from a meeting with Herr Hitler in September 1939 and brandishing an agreement between the Fuhrer and himself said these words’ Peace for our time’. How wrong he was – nevertheless it was a great sound bite.
